THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Elgin Lawn Tennis Club is home to the North of Scotland Championships. This is run annually during the last week of July. There is a full range of open, handicap and junior events. Click here to download the application form.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Elgin Lawn Tennis Club holds its own club championships every year. These are usually held after the North Of Scotland Championships.

CLUB NIGHTS

All members are welcome to play during Wednesday evening from 6pm and Saturday afternoon 2pm-5pm social sessions. There is an “unwritten protocol” whereby all players are encouraged to mix up and play doubles matches (1 set). New members should not feel inhibited from playing in these sessions, as many of the more experienced members regularly attend these sessions, are very welcoming, and will guide you. Do not worry about arriving alone, as foursomes are formed within the clubhouse, and different partnerships formed for each match.

CARDIO TENNIS

During the season a course of cardio tennis is run on a Monday evening by the clubs independent coach Mr Doug Soutar. This is a great way to increase fitness levels. Details are posted on the clubhouse notice board prior to commencement.
